1929, square corners, unvarnished cardstock, blue box, small booklet

1981, rounded corners, varnished cards, and tuck box

The differences in sharpness and color are in the originals.

Your decks are much cooler than mine. I have a 1985 reissue.

I smushed the deck to scan as my camera won't work

Here's another thread with 1929 card images.  Each card has a tiny blue copyright symbol and J A Knapp on the lower right.

nicole.  Younger AND smashed!  Why are you complaining?

I lost this auction against you , Debra.....
I was in Cuba and couldn't find internet to increase my bid.
Thank Fidel for your new acquisition ; )

Congrats!

Wow, nice condition.

To me, the old one looks a lot nicer than the repro.
The drawing is so much finer.
The newer repro looks like it was overly heavied up in the color separation films.

Very nice.

That blue box is in such amazing condition. Well done Debra, lucky you.
I am so envious...

Debra, how many different editions of this deck are there? I'm getting a US Games version, which is a different one to the two you are showing here. Is that correct? I.e. Nicole's printing would be the one I'm getting. :kt

That's right.
There's at least three:  One copyright to Knapp, one from the Philosophical Research Society, and the third from US Games.
It's a wonderfully strange deck.  I'll be interested in your feeling about it when you get it.

I think this is a wonderful deck. The symbols on the pips really trigger my imagination. I haven't had time to read the LWB, so I'm relying on my imagination when reading.
